Our story

welcome to
desde allá.

We're a couple living in North America: he's from Costa Rica and she's from Ecuador. We met far from home and, like everyone who emigrates, ended up surrounded by friends from everywhere: Colombians, Salvadorans, Dominicans, Mexicans, Boricuas, Venezuelans, Argentinians.

Every get-together went the same way. Someone would drop a ¡pura vida!, a ¿qué más pues? or a ¿qué lo que? and the whole table would crack up. Because those words don't translate. They're home.

What we miss most isn't always the food or the weather. It's the way we talk. Mae, ñaño, parce, achachay when it's cold. Words nobody here gets, and that back home say everything.

So we made Desde Allá: shirts in the slang of each country, drawn by us, for wearing home wherever we live. Every shirt has a little cartoon and a saying on the chest, and your country's emblem on the back.

Each one is printed when you order it, here in the United States, so nothing goes to waste and it gets to you fast.

If your country isn't here yet, write to us. We're listening.

With love,
Desde Allá 🌎
